THERAPIST PROFILE

"I enjoy doing CST tremendously! Every person, every day, every session is unique, and so is the outcome. I have learned that what seems to have worked in the one case does not necessarily work for the next. The more you yourself trust the process, and the innate wisdom of the body of the person that you work on, the better the results. The more I learn and the more experience I get, the more I realise how much we still do not know."

HOW LONG DO MY TREATMENT PROGRAMS RUN FOR?
This depends totally on the individual patient: Some need 2-3 sessions, and some are long term. The duration will depend on the trust that the person has in the process, in him/herself (whether he/she is ready to change/let go), and in me. The condition that brings the person to me will also determine how long the treatment will last.

LIFE EXPERIENCE
I grew up in the Northern part of South Africa (former Potgietersrus - now Makopane)on a farm.
After my studies in Pretoria and potchefstroom, I started teaching piano in Harrismith in the Free State.
I moved to Bethlehem, where I got married.
My husband was transferred consequently to Sishen, back to Bethlehem, then Kroonstad, Klerksdorp, Nelspruit, Johannesburg, and then to Cape Town.
We have been in Cape Town since 1994 (phew!!!!).
We do not have any children of our own - just a son that we first fostered when he was nine years old.
We adopted him when he was 13, and he adopted our surname.
